In our family, there was no clear line between religion and fly fishing. We lived at the junction of great trout rivers in western Montana, and our father was a Presbyterian minister and a fly fisherman who tied his own flies and taught others. He told us about Christ's disciples being fishermen, and we were left to assume, as my brother and I did, that all first-class fishermen on the Sea of Galilee were fly fishermen and that John, the favorite, was a dry-fly fisherman.

Don't try to scare that child so he will never want to go with you. You wisdom in what you have a young son do. I'm sure he enjoyed the fishing. Our phone is not working at the moment. Luv MOM
He had fun. We looked at deer prints in the mud, threw rocks and sticks into the water, played in the sand, walked across the river and caught a couple of fish.
He likes fishing, he always try to talk me into taking him fishing.
I kown the fishing is okay. Not so sure about the float trip. The Lee's son tried to go down the river at 22,000 about 2 weeks ago. After they passed Five Ore Deal, after getting stuck for an hour in the reversal, they got off the river. Need to make sure it is about 5-6000 beforee going. Luv MOM what a spoil sport I am.
South Fork trip is not on the rapids it is on the river below the dam, a fishing trip only. Though when we ran the whitewater last week (twice) at 20K cfs it was quite awesome. Ivana won't let me take him on the rapids yet.
