Here's mine
Just to keep with the current theme. But if you look close you will notice something wrong. Who can figure it out that has not seen this before. If you have seen this you can not play.
The thing mounted on top is a light not a laser sight. I took the laser sight off. And yeah it's an airsoft gun. I painted the tip of it black. Still enough to get you killed if you point it at the wrong person at the wrong time. From a distance it looks pretty real. I briefly thought about doing an open carry with it to see peoples reactions, then I thought that was dumb. Maybe I should open carry it and record at the same time just for a social experiment.
Check this out Dan http://www.spokesmanreview.com/breaking/story.asp?ID=10097 It is neither illegal to open carry or illegal to paint the tip black. The manufacturer can't paint it black but I can. Once I do paint it black I need to be extra careful at what I point it at and how I carry it. Even if it is still painted bright orange it still needs to treated as a firearm in most cases even though it is a toy.
whether it's legal or not doesn't mean you wont make someone wet their pants and pull a real one on you, espically after recent events... i don't think it's a social experiment worth trying, to me, it looks real, hopefully thats sufficient enough... we don't need the headlines to read; FORMER COUNCELLOR IN THE BISHOPRIC MESSING AROUND AND GETS SHOT. FAMILY SAYS HE JUST WANTED TO TRY A SOCIAL EXPERIMENT. besides, obama doesn't need anymore encouragement. Amber
I'm not saying point it at anyone because even if it is a toy you can be charged if you point it at someone that doesn't know it's a toy, plus there is always the possibility of getting lead poisoning if your dumb enough to point it at somebody.
I am just curious what would happen if I walk around down town, in a few banks, the library, etc... everywhere it is legal to open carry with it strapped to my back and take a video camera and see what happens. Maybe I can get qmann to carry while I film? I also need a good lawyer before doing this on speed dial.

Now taken this was done with a handgun not a M4 look alike, but the same laws apply.
I also find that Idaho Code is funny in that it is illegal to take a concealed weapon into certain places, but says nothing about open carry being a problem. I know most courthouses are a no no because judges have the privilege of passing rules for the courthouse and most of them deny weapons in the courthouse.
Any person obtaining a license under the provisions of section 18-3302, Idaho Code, shall not: (1) Carry a concealed weapon in a courthouse, juvenile detention facility or jail, public or private school, except as provided in subsection (4)(f) of section 18-3302D, Idaho Code;
Guns at schools are also a big no no and are covered by section 18-3302D, Idaho Code.
i know you wouldn't point it at anyone, but whos to say you wouldn't just scare the living day lights out of some potential vigilanti thay just happens to be in posession of a real gun, you know. and as for Que being the one to do this, you're crazy!!
I'm sure Angi would love the call to come and bail you out. Heck, maybe she'd even be mad enough to let you spend the night with your new roomie "Bubba"
I did like the story about the open carry. Not allowed in FL at all. That is a cool web site. Now I know what states I can walk around with my side arm showing.

Well, in comparting yours to Chris', it seems that there's a handle on the barrel. Besides, yours is probably fake.
looks like the laser sight is pointing at you, though hard to tell. I also don't think it's mounted correctly as the gun sight would block the beam.
plus if I remeber correctly our's is a bb gun.
I would concur with the laser site being in the wrong position. Also, the grip looks funny.

A social experiment to see if you can get shot? Isn't it illegal to paint those tips black?

Anyone willing to do this?

what will happen is police will arrive, see gun, shoot you first and ask questions later. Bye bye trumie....

Chris,
With a concealed permit from Florida you can also carry concealed in a bunch of other states.

Just make sure you know if open carry is also allowed in case you accidentally "show" and where you can and con not carry.
