Blessing Day

Saturday November 15th, starting at 11:30 am at the church building across the street from our house. Not at the stake center where we had it last time. Address of the church is 364 N 4100 E.

Joshua, if you get him in the right mood, talks, laughs, growls, smiles and clicks his tongue. The trick has been getting a good clip of him doing this on the camera as he is camera shy. He seems to pay more attention to the camera than he does in talking, whenever I try to film him. But, for your viewing pleasure I present "Joshua"

Amazing

Everyone contemplating an abortion should have to see this and hear the story behind it. Go to the website to view the pictures. They are copyrighted so I didn't want to post them illegally. Aren't I a law abiding citizen?

Welcome to www.MichaelClancy.com

During a spina bifida corrective procedure at twenty-one weeks in utero, Samuel thrusts his tiny hand out of the surgical opening of his mother's uterus. As the doctor lifts his hand, Samuel reacts to the touch and squeezes the doctor's finger. As if testing for strength, the doctor shakes the tiny fist. Samuel held firm. At that moment, I took this "Fetal Hand Grasp" photo.

As a photojournalist, my job is to tell stories through pictures. The experience of taking this photograph has had a profound effect on me, and I'm proud to share this moment with you.

Halloween Party at the fifth son's house

Here are some pictures of our annual halloween party. This year we decided to forego our Barbque and went with a traditional party. As you can see our family went as the Berenstain Bears. The party was fun and we hope to make this more of a tradition. Though we might go with a mystery party next year.

Bahahaha...this one speaks for itself

My Angels

My Boys
Lucas and Joshua

Every day I thank Heavenly Father for them, and my dear wife and pray that I can have LOTS of time to spend with them all. They are my life.

Lucas the Capoerista

Lucas is so strong. He now does summersaults, front handsprings and handstands. He gingas, kicks and esquivas and plays the Berrimbau.

Joshua

Joshua is now smiling back when you smile at him, and working on cooing. He is mostly calm, hardly cries and grunts a lot. He is a sweet little boy.

Steelheading

So who would like to go Steelheading on the Salmon river with me between Shoup and the Middle fork take out? Some time in the next 2-3 weeks.

A Visit From Number 5

Chet and Marin came down from Park City to hang out for a little bit. Marin stayed the whole day while Chet worked and left us to my own food cooking while he went to Ruth's Chris! Hardly seems fair, but I must say, my sweet and sour chicken was quite delicious. Although I didn't make enough. Anyway, we forgot to take the camera, but we did make it to go see the witches at Gardner Village. Other than that, the kids played pretty good and only destroyed my house long enough for me to tell them to put it back together again.

Again, and again?

I guess I need to start thinking about the next newsletter, if there is going to be one. I know I bring this up every time, but there continues to be a select few who feel like they don't have to contribute for whatever reason. Then, there are the other select few, who turn it in way late, delaying my publicaton, and then there are the other, other select few, who turn it in weeks before it is due and there info is outdated and old news four months later. So, I need to know if you all are really going to committ and want to continue. Because, we all have been made aware that we aren't posting the news of our families on this blog, and unless we START doing so, I think the newsletter is a good way to see what is going on. I would start a poll on the side of the blog, but I am not sure that I have the power and I really am not sure who does.

Happy cooking.

As the old saying goes...

If you have nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all. This applies to one person in particular. Stop being rude to your neice. Thanks.

4 Inches

The amount of snow we have on Oct. 12. We should all now talk about global warming instead of politics. Can't we all just get along?

NOUVEAU BLOG

http://the-geico-lizard-has-a-hot-accent.blogspot.com/

Everyone Apologize to John

Okay...you all should apologize to John so he will sign back up to the blog and not remove himself in a hissy fit of protest. Then, stop posting boring political things because not everyone is interested in it, especially if they are not citizens of the USofA. We like hearing about the events in his and his family's life since we don't get to see them too often.

Blog Guidelines

I would like us to adhere to some basic blog etiquette.

The Blog is called the Lackey Legend. It is meant to be a forum for us to keep caught up as a family. It has recently turned into a rather boring and droll place for everyone to vent their political views and personal frustration at the fact that Obama is leading in the polls. And the fact that McCain is a lousy option as well...go GERIATRICS!!!!

I suggest if you want to publish political commentary then you do so on your own blog. There is a link to all of your blogs along the right panel and Kevin was kind enough to set it up so that we can see your latest posting. Anyone who wants to view your political opinion may now do so on your blog. I would like to keep this blog focused on family issues (for the most part anyway).

I have taken the dictatorial position that any future political postings onto the Lackey Legend will be DELETED!!!! Cause I'm tired of reading about all this crap. And if you don't like it go cry to your Mamma.....

Kyrie Goes to Homecoming

In an effort to "get involved" and make some more friends here, and hopefully be happy here, and hopefully stop making her parents crazier than they already are, Kyrie agreed to go to homecoming. She decided the day before, which didn't leave us with many options on a dress. I think she looked beautiful, despite the bare shoulders. Believe it or not, there are no "formal" type dresses made with sleeves and if they are made, they aren't sold here in Florida. So, yes, I let my daughter wear a sleeveless dress to a dance and she looked great, bad tan lines aside.

The Christmas Jar

So here's my challange and new tradition that I think that we should start as a family. I recently had the time to reread a book entitled The Christmas Jar. The jist of the story is that this young couple started saving all of their change each year in order to spend on Christmas. It started off really small. But with each passing year, they started earlier and earlier until they were doing it year round. Well, one year, as they were headed to the bank to cash in the change, the oldest daughter say a lady sitting on the curb, and felt to give the jar of money to this lady. I know that most of us probably don't use cash all that often. I know that we don't. But we all have been pretty blessed and I think that if we started doing something like this within each individual family, many lessons can be learned from it. Let the comments and ideas begin.

Debate

I think every relaized SP is not going to be a pushover. She showed pinash and is fiesty. It was great to see that she stuck to the issues and didn't get into too much mud slinging. Does our country not relaize that it is our current politicians who helped create the mess that we are in. Did you know that the federal government forced many banks into risky lending practices. Obama was a partner in a firm that sued banks for not having more liberal lending policies. Then they sit around and scratch their heads and wonder how we got into this mess. Has anyone thought that GWB last few years in office has been a debaucle because the Democrates have been in charge of the house and and borderline in the senate. Clinton benefited from a conservitave house and senate. I wasn't sure if Mcain would do a good job because he has crossed party lines. Maybe this will end up being good for our country as he is willing to compromise maybe it will be bad. I still think the presidential debate was very combative and they just took shots at each other.

this is amber. i may sound dumb, but all of this political messiness is getting me so stressed, i have sort of tuned out. people keep talking about how pretty palin is rather than what she could do, which by the way, how fabulous is she!!! and obama bin laden is as terrifying, not to mention arrogant, as it gets, i cannot stand hilary clinton, but i would beg for her over him in an instant. mccain is definatly the lesser of the two evils, but i am not so in love with him. at least he has the experience and knowledge that it would take to run a country. the thing that gets me the most is the fact that a good 60%, at least, are voting for obama because of his race and the fact that he looks modern and new agey. they don't know anything about his politics. believe me, my hairdresser is, as my little sis puts it, one pair of shoes away from being a woman. he and i have had some educational discussions.
and don't even get me started on obama's loud mouth, obnoxious, and don't forget, unpatriotic wife. she needs to take up some needle pointing or something. she is the definition of back-seat driver.
and why is everyone is so worried palin wont be able do a good job as vice president because of her small children, have they forgotten that obama has small children as well that would be without a daddy for however many years. can we really put that out there in this feminist nation in which we live. i think she is great, i wouldn't want it for me, but she is already doing great as governor, why couldn't she do it as vp. at least she has gotten past the daughter, soon to be mommy.
i am just having a hard time with all of this, i really can't stand all of the two-faced backtalk going on.

Okay, Funny, But Really Dumb Too

Levis' new add campaign. Please do not release my beast!!!
