Joshua Mateus Lackey. Born at around 12:40 p.m. 7 lbs 15 oz, and 19 inches. He and mom are doing great. Came out after 3 pushes and 5 minutes of "labor". Promptly peed on Dr. Barton and two minutes later on the warming machine.
Looks a lot like his older brother.

i expect her back in the fields working by tomorrow. I told Pris all Brazilian women give birth in the fields and go right back to work.
Glad to hear this morning that all went well. Tried to call several times before but you were all busy:) We will be leaving this afternoon for the West. Will be back late Sunday. Luv M
Joshua is very mellow..... Doesn't cry of fuss. Does grunt every now and then and has emitted the odd whimper.
He was just circumcised, received his hep b shots and had his pko bloodletting all in the space of 5 minutes. He didn't cry once. He is rather stoic.
He has bright blue eyes, right now and looks so very much like his brother at this phase. Lots of dark hair, but he doesn't have the long dark lashes that Lucas was born with, and his complexion seems a little more fair. He is beautiful.
Lucas has been staying with Grandma and visited for a bit yesterday. He got rather upset when the nurse took Joshua out for a bit yesterday, wondering where they were taking "baby brother."
Lucas calls him "baby brother", Joshua and at time Mateus. A remanent from when we were calling him Mateus.
