McCain's Dark Horse

For those who have asked my opinion about McCain's VP pick, it is on my blog. For those who haven't asked but want to know, it is there. For those who don't give a rat's hairy rear end what I think, it is still there. Check it out. I might just enlighten you hahahhahaha

Our day at the Air Force open house

Asha loves planes, so I took her to the open house. We spent 30 minutes or so looking at the hardware, another 10 minutes flying her glider until she broke it and almost two hours in the kid area on the bouncy thing.

Kevin's Phone

Would be nice if you have someone that can speak english answer the phone and not hang up as soon as one says hello.

This again....

Not be be all "I told you so" but has anyone else looked at this? LOOK HERE
!
I say that looks like a hurricane headed right towards ..... drum roll .... New Orleans. So if it does drown that city again what does the nation do? This one may even reach category five. I would be getting out while the gettin is good.

How is the weather in Florida? Raining I hear. Just wait for you next hurricane, then you'll wonder why you didn't take a different job.

New Job?

We might be moving to Beijing. Will keep you all posted.

Other Rooms

from left to right or something like that....Guest Bedroom, Asha's Room, Master Bedroom, Living Room, Dining Room

Home Renovation

We purchsed a HDB flat (gov't housing) in June. We decided to go this route vs private as it was 1/3 the cost and twice the space. We ended up with a nice 1600 sqft 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath split level condo. We got a pretty good deal on it as the owner was looking for a fast sell as he needed the cash for his struggling business. What we didn't realize was that there was extensive water damage in the kitchen from the 2nd floor bathrooms. We'd hoped to delay repairs for a while, but finally had to give in and have the bathrooms done. The contractors hacked out over 4 inches of old tile and concrete. We subsequently discovered that waterproofing had never properly been done. Once we have a clear idea on the job situation we'll be doing the kitchen next, as there is water damage on the ceiling and cabinets. Our fridge also sits in the dining hall as we don't have space in the kitchen given the current design.

New House

Chris did close on her house on Wednesday and moved in today. She waited a few days because she was afraid of the hurricane or of the rain. Luckily, the hurricane switched courses and they just got hit with rain. She moved today hoping to avoid most of the rain, but still got some of it. As for the no invite to the party, you were having a party of your own. Remember, you had family in town and you went rafting jabberwock. Nice new blog.

P.S. so has anyone heard from the Homeless Fosters about if Hurricane Fay has drowned them out of house and home(less)?

So LongTonsils

I must say that after seeing Alyssa go through this I have no idea how adults make it. She is doing fairly well but is still completely miserable. Today she didn't do as well as yesterday but I hear after day 5 it will start to look up. Alyssa will probably miss her first day of school on Thursday, but she doesn't seem to care. Her teacher is going to be gone the first week of school anyway. She will have a sub. Logan had a good time at his party at outer limits. He is sooo big I can't believe he's turning 5 of Wednesday(he's my baby). Life has been crazy and I am really excited for school to start. A routine sounds wonderful.

Still Here and Kicking It

We're still surviving, just lost our internet connection at the condo thanks to the boys fighting over who's turn it was and breaking the aircard which Verizon wants $279 to replace. No thanks. We are closing on our home on Wed, the 20th unless something unforseen goes wrong.
Kids started school on Wed. and I'm glad to have them on a bit of a schedule and out of my hair. Wade is being very pleasant right now since we are at the office so I have to go.

Going to Donetsk

Just wanted to let you all know we will be gone the next 10 days to Donetsk, southern Ukraine. We are both doing fine. Dad feels scalped as he had to get another Ukrainian haircut before the summer was over. We are surprised how dark it is getting already in the evening, was after 10:00 now it is before 9:00. That just means that fall will be here before we realize. Hope all the kids are enjoying the start of school. There are a few birthdays while we are gone so happy birthday to the following: Jacob, Logan, Kaylee and Brent. Hope you all have a great birthday. Enjoy each day to the fullest because before you turn around you will wonder where the years have gone. Now I am thinking I am my mother's age. We love you all and think of you often. Hope all is going well. Luv M&D, GM&GP,J&J

Sorry I didn't get a chance to have you call me to wish you a happy birthday, maybe tomorrow. We have been busy with our foreign exchange student. Thanks for being such a great example of charity and patience. You are always so willing to serve and do things for others. You really are an amazing woman. Hope you had a great day!!! Chris, PS, how does not having the internet have to do with your ipod?

happy birthday grandma/mom sorry we have no internet so my iPod isn't working right

Kids Say the Darndest Things

Kade was trying to explain to Kyrie and Jacob that since he now holds the priesthood they have to do what he says. We all had a good laugh at that and I was trying to explain to him what unrighteous dominion means. I also mentioned that since his dad has the priesthood would he like that rule to apply to him. Jake piped up and said, "and yeah, he holds the IRONIC priesthood too, and the higher one, so you really have to do what he says." Bawhahahaha We all laughed and laughed at that one.

Ari Photos for Mom

The rotund one weighed in at 7.4kg today, around 16 1/2 pounds for the metrically challenged.

please invite me

Chris I need an invite to your blog I've got some comments on Breaking Dawn. Please let me in!!!!

I would also like to share my most recent brush with the wild. The would be the skunk I tried to scare out of the garage while still thinking it was a cat. Once I got a better look I ran and hid in the car until it passed. I must say I am unbelivably lucky.
