Happy Birthday Quentin!!!

Quentin,

Happy Birthday. I am suppose to write about your delivery but all that I can remember is that I walked through the back door of the labor room and the nurses wanted to know where Dr was and if he had brought me. Labor did not take very long as none of them were over four hours. I do remeber that Dad sat besides me for awhile and kept telling me that I could have medication if it hurt to much. All I wanted him to do was to go find something else to do so I could concentrate on the process at hand. We were excited to receive a new healthy baby boy. Again Happy Birthday hope you have a great day. Luv M&D

Happy Birthday KADE!!!

Happy Birthday Kade! And a special one that it be -- 12. That brings a lot of responsibilities with that age. Alomst a teenage but not quite. Now you can go to Mutual. You leave elementary school for JR. High. A great example for those younger brothers. Enjoy this day. I know you are traveling but hope you enjoy a day later that you can celebrate with cake. Have fun. Luv GM and GP

Lunch counter Revisited

Today's flow are at 21k cfs. flow for this time of year that we haven't seen since almost the floods of 97. Unless it drops 5k between now and Saturday, well we probably aren't going. I will most likely be going July 2nd, in the afternoon. If levels have came down.

Happy Birthday --- KYRIE!!

Happy BD. Are you in Alabama? Did try to send you a birthday card but had no American stamp. Will send it soon, as it was going to your new home you will have to wait anyway. Have a great time with your friends. Remember we love you. GM&GP

Crop Duster

Buzzing the field behind our house around 8:00 am. Took Lucas out to watch. He thought that it was about the neatest thing ever.

I am going to take him fishing on the SF here in a couple of weeks. A daddy son outing. Little kids welcome if accompanied by an adult who will assume responsibility for their own progeny.

Boating

OH, we all probably need to pitch in money for GAS for boating since gas prices are throught the roof. I don't know how much it costs to fill up the boat, but plan on chipping in.

Weekend Fun

I think the plan for this weekend is to go boating on Saturday and have dinner at the beach. We will need to make assignments for drinks, chips, and the rest of the stuff. I am hoping there is a beach. I have heard that it is a little high, so if anyone has a way to find out if there is a beach could you look into it? There isn't enough room for all of the kids on the boat, so we will need some beach somewhere. On Sunday we will have dinner at Freemont Park. I think we could do a potluck but need to assign specifics so we get some of one and enough of another.

Shotgun Falls and Sunbeam dam

Were great this weekend. The weather has been cool so the water was actually lower than it is now about 2500 cfs. Shotguns falls was a big maelstrom with some tricky navigation and the dam was a big drop into a frothy cauldron. Piece of cake was quite nice and the gorge was fun. You all missed out.

We didn't take an official photographer and so we took no pics as everyone was in the boat, so I had to steal a pic of Shotgun Falls from off of the web.We all wore helmets, full wetsuits, and I glued footcups into the raft floor Friday around lunch for extra security and to ensure that no one would fall out. No one went for a swim, but one almost fell out over Shotgun, despite the footcups.

The interesting thing about blogging...... never in the history of mankind has so many said so little about such trivial matters, and since it is all digital it has no permanence.

Happy Father's Day

We love you dad and miss you. Just wanted to say thank you for all of the advise and help through out the years. I know it wasn't always easy but no matter what I always knew you loved me and wanted what was best for me. Hope you have a great day and mom cooks you something good for dinner.

Sushi on a Stick

Asha has discovered a new way to eat sushi.

And little Ari (Bubba) has gained 3+ pounds already and giggles when you rasberry him. Every one thinks he's three months old and Pris thinks he has a tooth coming in already.

June 20-21-22

We are trying to get together that weekend, so everyone plan on it. I think maybe on Saturday we could go boating, weather permitting or try and go swimming. That night a BBQ, we need to make some food assignments and then another dinner on Sunday. We could even go play laser tag and let the kids hang out at the Westwood Mall place. I know Kevin and Ivana can't come up until the 22 (Sunday) so plan on getting together with them that day. I hope everyone is seeing this, please give some input and what you want to do for food.

Lack of a few

I am missing newsletters from the following: John, Quentin, Chester, Truman, Christian and I think that about covers it. You know where to send it. Now let's have some news.

Happy Anniversary!!!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!! Here is to 42 years. Wow. None of this would have been possible without you. We all love and appreciate you and love the example you are setting for us to follow.

Anyone tries to talk to me about global warming

is going to get beat about the head with a stick. It snowed last night. Just a skiff in the yard, but we have had snow of some form every month for the LAST 10 MONTHS. Welcome to the new Ice Age.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TRUMAN!!!

Hi Truman Happy Birthday,

I was trying to remember what happened on your b-day but I have a really mental block. I do remember that Julie and Jackie came to El Paso, Texas, to help us pack up and move back to Missouri. I also remember that a nurse in the hospital kept wanting to have me attend the birth education program as she must of thought that 4 children under 5 was a little bit to much for a mom to handle. You were a good baby and on the way to Missouri we had put the cradle in the back and you just slept and ate. We started back to Missouri when you were about two weeks old. Dad had the "bug" still and we followed him to Waynesville, Missouri, where we had a new unseen house ready for us. You have been such a tender hearted child. I remember when Dad left for Sedalia you cried. You enjoyed visiting Fred and Mae Goodson when we moved to Pocatello. If I ever found you missing I would call Mae's where you could be found missing and she would be rocking you. Hope you hav agreat day. Luv MOM and DAD

HomeOwners Insurance and Florida

Wow, is it a crazy thing. None of the major insurance carriers are writing new policies for Florida and many have actually started dropping customers they have had for years, even those who have never filed any type of claim. There is a company set up by the state that will write policies through these agencies, but I'm a bit nervous as we have a diving board and slide at the home which makes it almost impossible to find anyone who will write a policy. If worse comes to worse I guess we will remove them. Sigh

The End of the Newsletter?

So, June 1st is here and I didn't get one single newsletter submission. I know it is a busy time of year and everyone has a gzillion things they are doing, but I need to know if we are going to continue this or not. For the beat to go on, I need a beat if you know what I am saying.

Caitlin's blog

Why is Caitlin's blog under investigation for possible terms of use abuse? Maybe because she used her name for the url? or whatever it is called?
